Caicun Zhou
Current Role
Professor Caicun Zhou is the director of the Cancer Institute of Tongji Medical College, the chair of the Oncology Department of Tongji Medical College.
Clinical focus and interest:
Professor Zhou is primarily interested in precision medicine, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy for the treatment of lung cancer.
Experience:
Professor Zhou studied in Japan for 2 years and was a visiting scientist in the USA for half a year. He was selected as an ‘excellent learning pioneer’ by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM) in 2006, and has been a principal investigator on 10 other key research projects of the STCSM and the national 863 Project. He has published approximately 200 papers in scientific journals, including The Lancet Oncology, The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and Annals of Oncology.
Affiliations:
Professor Zhou is on the board of directors of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, a standing committee member of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), and the vice chair of the Shanghai Anti-cancer Association and the Shanghai Oncology Association. He is also a member of the editorial board of many scientific journals and serves as an editor-in-chief of Translational Lung Cancer Research and as an associate editor of Lung Cancer and Cancer Medicine.
