Alessandra Tedeschi, MD, PhD, is a consultant in hematology and the medical director of the Department of Hematology at the Niguarda Cancer Center in Milan, Italy.

Clinical focus and interest:

Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia (WM), marginal zone lymphoma, chronic and small lymphocytic leukemia (CLL/SLL), and hairy cell leukemia.

Experience:

Dr. Tedeschi studied medicine and surgery at the University of Bologna, Italy, and earned her degree in 1991. After this, she completed her PhD in clinical hematology at the University of Ancona, Italy, in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, she carried out research in the Department of Hematology at the Niguarda Cancer Center and undertook an internship in the Department of Leukemia of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, USA. She has served at the Niguarda Cancer Center since 1999.

Affiliations:

Dr. Tedeschi actively takes part in national and international conferences as a speaker and has several collaborative research projects with Italian, European, and US centers. She is the principal investigator for national and international clinical trials in CLL and WM.
